License and Certification Qualifications: Current professional HR certification issued by HRCI (PHR or SPHR) or SHRM (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.Experience Qualifications: Three years in an office/clerical environment required. Experience in human resources preferred.Skills Qualifications: Ability to communicate with others in an effective and tactful manner; ability to exercise independent judgment, troubleshoot, and solve problems; ability to work accurately with employee data; ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively with employees; ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality; strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a high-volume processing environment; ability to work as part of a team; flexibility and adaptability to change; ability to represent Gwinnett County Public Schools in a positive and professional manner; strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office required; and knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred.Primary Responsibilities: Provide assistance in the organization, coordination, and implementation of all Title IX and compliance administrative processes within the Human Resources Division.1. Enter, update, and/or retrieve information from various human resources systems to process transactions related to Title IX and legal matters.a. Ensure accuracy and timely processing of all human resources transactions.b. Handle inquiries concerning status of Title IX transactions from administrators, divisions/schools employees, students, parents, and legal agencies.c. Assist with configuring and maintaining databases for Title IX cases. d. Assist with responding to Open Record Requests for Title IX matters.e. Input and ensure accurate data in Title IX databases.2. Prepare necessary documents and perform administrative tasks related to Title IX and legal matters which may include, but not limited to:a. Division/School rosters.b. Monthly Board reports.c. Confidential employment issues.d. Student and employee Title IX grievance process and procedure. e. Send annual administrator communication and collect and maintain responses regarding Title IX appointments for local school Title IX coordinators and investigators.f. Assist with creating and distributing Title IX educational materials.g. Receive telephone calls and respond or refer as appropriate.h. Receive and distribute mail.i. Manage multiple, on-going tasks related to Title IX incidents.j. Track calls, emails, and other electronic inquiries and maintain contact log for contact metrics.k. Assist other human resources staff with certification support.3. Provide clerical and logistical support for administrators/supervisors that may include, but not limited to:a. Maintain administrator's/supervisor's calendar.b. Schedule meetings with various departments regarding Title IX and legal matters.c. Assist with the planning and logistics of Title IX and legal trainings and programs.d. Provide support with investigation documentation.e. Assist with preparation for presentations.f. Provide support for employee development initiatives.g. Assist with preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to district executive leadership, state and federal agencies, and other parties.4. Monitor division/school Title IX compliance posters and websites for compliance with Title IX law and GCPS policies.a. Maintain up-to-date contact list of Title IX coordinators/investigators for divisions/schools on website.b. Create, update, and maintain website content, including text, images, and videos.c. Ensure required Title IX compliance documents are visible and current on the website, such as policies and trainings.d. Ensure website functionality, security, and performance by working with necessary personnel to fix errors on the website.5. Communicate with all parties in a businesslike, courteous, and efficient manner.a. Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with local schools, central office staff, employees, and district leaders.b. Help cultivate a responsive and customer focused climate by assisting internal and external customers, resolving issues, and answering inquiries in a timely and effective manner.c. Provide accurate information regarding Title IX laws, policies, and procedures to divisions/schools/public and know when to escalate complex or sensitive issues to appropriate personnel.d. Maintain confidentiality when handling or hearing sensitive employee and student information.6. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
