    UC Health is hiring a full time Sr. Consultant of Media Relations

     

    The Senior Consultant of Media Relations collaborates closely with the Director of Media Relations to advance and manage the reputation of UC Health.

     

    In this role, you will drive and communicate key messages to position UC Health as a leader in academic medicine and healthcare delivery, locally, regionally, and nationally. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets, actively pitching media stories, preparing for and managing emergency situations, and establishing effective media relations processes and protocols. You will also serve as a public information officer and spokesperson for our health system.

     

    You will work alongside the University of Cincinnati public relations team dedicated to our four health-related colleges, seeking and sharing compelling stories highlighting UC Health’s purpose, values, and vision. Additionally, you will integrate media relations strategies into comprehensive marketing plans across the organization.

     

    This role will also play a crucial role in the development and execution of an external recognition strategy that enhances UC Health’s visibility and reputation. You will lead the identification and management of award nominations and external health system ratings and recognitions that elevate our academic health system’s standing in the industry. The ideal candidate will have a background in media relations, strong writing skills, a strategic mindset and the ability to cultivate high-impact relationships that drive positive perception and recognition in key external channels.
