    Project Manager Expectations

    • Supervises and leads smaller teams or subgroup of a larger team.

    • Manages less-complex projects or multiple tasks on complex projects.

    • Leads external communications.

    • Responsible for team or project accounting, including invoicing, workload, scheduling, scope, roles, and budgets.

    • Manages team to achieve KPI's

    Description

    + Provide technical design expertise to the project team and ensure the overall quality of client deliverables.

    + Perform technical design for assigned projects with a working knowledge of traffic engineering in civil engineering.

    + Mentor and direct team members in:

    + Project design (engineering calculations, computer design software, referencing engineering procedures and design manuals).

    + Collecting and assembling complex project data.

    + Preparing complex project documents (specifications and bid documents).

    + Reviewing complex drawings to ensure clarity and thoroughness.

    + Preparing quantity takeoffs.

    + Managing external communications.

    + Documenting projects.

    + Conducting complex site observations.

    + Understand and meet internal and external customers' needs and expectations; develop and improve client relationships.

    + Manage preparation of reports, studies, proposals, blogs, journal articles, etc.

    + Understand basic financial terms and concepts as they apply to projects.

    + Account for individual project task involvement, including scheduling, scope, role, and budget.

    + Track multiple task budgets and schedules.

    + Lead or contribute to business development efforts.

    + Develop and follow up on qualifying leads.
