Job Description:
Responsible for complex payroll processing, maintaining compliance with all Provincial laws, regulations, and union requirements while ensuring accuracy of all wage calculations, withholdings, deductions, and changes. Reconcile and identify risks to prevent issues with accuracy, timeliness, and production. Make recommendations and take appropriate action to address identified issues. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, local, state, wage and hour laws. Review payroll process and ensure it is in line with company philosophy and recommend internal control or efficiency enhancements. Create and run requested reports to include year-end data, union fringes, GL data, and other requested items for both US and Canada. Responsible for identifying union updates that affect payroll configuration. Maintain required payroll files and records. Assist with internal and external audits. Complete bank and tax reconciliations by payroll, quarter, and year. Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

Qualifications:
+ 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience.
+ 3+ years of Union Payroll processing experience.
+ High technical ability with intermediate to expert Excel usage, including pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, etc.
+ Ability to pick up new systems quickly.
+ 2+ years of experience.
+ Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
+ CPP certification.
Work Environment:
Will sit out of the St. Paul, MN office 1-3 days/week, depending on what works for the candidate. The office space is nice, and you will get to work directly with the manager.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
