Senior Acquisition Specialist | 120k - 140k/yr | 5-days Onsite in Reston, VA
Job Description
Provides guidance and direction on acquisition position identification, coding, and documentation support. This role involves analysis activities and workforce planning in compliance with the Defense Acquisition Workforce Implementation Act (DAWIA) and existing policies. The position includes participation in design methodology for workforce identification/revalidation, supporting socialization and marketing efforts, and assisting with data retrieval and analysis for workforce planning.
Responsibilities
+ Provide advice and assistance to functional area technical experts on contractual matters in the acquisition planning stages based on a working knowledge of regulation policy.
+ Assist with the development of writing performance criteria and requirements into sound/sufficient SOW/PWS and/or orders.
+ Perform or evaluate market research and trends, conditions, and technological advances as they apply to the program.
+ Assist with the development of source selection evaluation criteria.
+ Coordinate and work with technical experts and the contracting office to ensure project milestones are reflected in the contractual documents and project plan.
+ Assist in the development of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
Essential Skills
+ 9+ years of Federal DOD or IC Contracts/Acquisition Experience, with at least 2 years being recent.
+ Active TS clearance, with openness to obtaining SCI and IC Poly in the future.
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 9-12 years of experience performing relevant actions specific to the labor category, with relevant experience within the last 2 years.
+ Ability to work highly independently.
+ In-depth knowledge and understanding of acquisition lifecycle operations, including financial execution concepts.
+ Mastery of qualitative and quantitative acquisition and program management analytic methodologies.
+ Ability to design comprehensive, new, or unique process improvement enablers.
+ Skill in reviewing analytic program management data for cogent arguments and providing adequate support for conclusions.
Work Environment
The role requires onsite work in Reston or Washington, DC at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The work is highly independent, requiring minimal oversight
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
