Job Title: 3rd Shift Supervisor
Job Description
The 3rd Shift Supervisor in Franklin, WI will be a key stakeholder for a new 340,000 square foot conversion facility and will play an integral part of our strategy to optimize its cheese network in North America. The supervisor directly supervises maintenance employees on assigned shifts to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance services and support production in a 24-hour, 7-day per week operation. This includes planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing product and employee complaints, and resolving problems.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with the Plant Engineer, Maintenance Manager, and facility management to utilize equipment to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.
+ Supervise both the maintenance and capital projects for the site.
+ Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds.
+ Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance.
+ Ensure that all utilities (i.e. refrigeration, electrical, steam, compressed air systems, etc.) are in proper working order to support production.
+ Implement corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators to create overall equipment effectiveness.
+ Remain current with latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.
+ Ensure corporate policies and standards are followed in both capital project implementation as well as daily maintenance.
+ Complete all paperwork including maintenance records, incident reports and investigations, and others as assigned by the maintenance manager.
+ Maintain current technical documentation on Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs), instrumentation, and equipment (PLC ladder logic, blueprints, manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintenance procedures, Preventive Maintenance (PM) program), inventory/parts purchasing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ A minimum of five (5) years industrial maintenance experience within Dairy, Food, and/or Beverage manufacturing industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Previous supervisor experience required.
+ Working knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs), electrical, cooling towers, ammonia compressors, and packaging equipment.
+ Skills required in electronics, instrumentation, and electrical systems and troubleshooting, reading electrical schematics, and understanding ladder logic.
+ Ability to calculate basic mathematical equations and formulas.
+ Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices in the food industry.
+ Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
+ Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Maintenance Planning software, SAP/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience a plus.

Work Environment
The facility is located in Franklin and operates on 3rd Shift Hours from 10:45 PM - 7 AM, typically working 6 days a week on a rotation, requiring a good amount of overtime. Training on 1st shift is required for about 1 month before moving to 3rd shift. There is a $2/hour shift premium for all hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM. The work environment is kept at 55 degrees. The dress code includes closed-toe shoes, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and pants. All PPE and uniforms are supplied, including hair nets, beard nets, shoe covers, smocks, bump caps, and gloves. Jewelry, fake/long nails, and fake eyelashes are not permitted.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
