PIT Operator

Pay Rate:

$25.59 per hour + shift differential if applicable

**NOTE:** During 90 day probationary period, role is considered “Entry-level Utility” and earns: $24.71 per hour + shift differential if applicable.

Sign on Bonus:

$500 after 90 days,

$500 after 6 months,

$500 after 1 year and an additional bonus after 2 years

Category/Shift:

Hourly Full-Time.

2nd Shift: 3pm – 11pm** **M-F** **OR

3rd Shift: 11pm – 7am M-F

-Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed; significant overtime may be needed during busy periods.

The Job You Will Perform:

+ Safely operate a **sit-down powered industrial truck (PIT);**

+ Pulls orders and stock to Work In Process (WIP) area.

+ Maintains Work In Process area in a neat and orderly fashion.

+ Maintains forklift/pull pack on a daily basis.

+ Maintains baler.

+ Responsible for managing the waste of the department.

+ Follows proper lock-out/tag-out procedure;

+ Maintains housekeeping standards at all times.

+ Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety.

+ Keeps appropriate records and reports (complete forms, logs, inventory and records accurately – as required).

+ Follows all safety rules and practices at all times; and

+ Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.

The Skills You Will Bring:

+ **Minimum of 2 years PIT experience**

+ **Previous PIT operating experience in an industrial manufacturing or other labor intensive work experience is required**

+ **Corrugated industry manufacturing environment preferred**

+ **Know what a monotrol pedal is and how it operates**

+ Be able to multitask in a very fast-paced environment

+ Be computer literate and effectively use scanning equipment and arranging for the transportation of products

+ The ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.
