Pay Rate - $24/hr.
Job Description
A production company in KCK is looking for a TIG welder to join their team. The successful candidate will operate manual welders and weld robots to fabricate metal weldments from materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel.
Entry-level tig welding role to gain tig welding experience--primarily welding on stainless steel
Responsibilities
+ Operate a welding machine to fabricate metal weldments from materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel.
+ Lift work pieces manually or using a hoist and secure work pieces in fixtures.
+ Start machines and observe operations.
+ Inspect and measure work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
+ Replace worn machine accessories and exhausted expendables such as shielding gases, welding rods, and/or wire.
+ Add coolant and/or water to machine reservoirs and turn valves to start the flow of coolant.
+ Operate an industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products as required.
+ Operate welders to produce parts per specifications, including setting up and adjusting tips, fixtures, amperage, and pulse.
+ Ability to tube weld and weld thin corners stainless steel

Work Environment
The work environment requires adherence to a dress code that includes steel-toed shoes and safety glasses. The shift hours are from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The company follows a strict attendance policy where being late results in .5 points, calling in results in 1 point, and pre-approved absences result in 0 points.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.13 - $24.13/hr.
