Hiring Operations Manager
Job Description
The Operations Manager drives a performance-based culture with a focus on yield, uptime, throughput, employee development, and safety training. This role involves building a team of engaged employees and directing activities of planning, receiving, and production personnel.
Responsibilities
+ Supervise production supervisors and manufacturing operations, including Machine Shop, Composite Fabrication, Assembly, and Material Control.
+ Collaborate with program managers to ensure schedules meet timing and budget requirements.
+ Develop and maintain manufacturing operations business plans, including program requirements, labor hours, cycle, and production costs.
+ Review production and operating reports, resolving operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize costs and prevent delays.
+ Provide leadership and direction for all production departments, including budgets, staffing, training, development, goal setting, and policy generation.
+ Set expectations and evaluate performance of direct reports, including planning, assigning, and directing work; conducting reviews; motivating achievement; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
+ Develop, plan, and implement processes and procedures to meet manufacturing targets and performance goals, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Enhance inventory management strategies to improve customer satisfaction and reduce lead-time, promoting alignment across functional areas.
+ Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
+ Model behaviors such as dependability, integrity, cooperation, commitment to quality and customer service, open communication, flexibility, and creativity.
+ Adhere to all rules, codes of conduct, and quality procedures.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of managerial/supervisorial experience.
+ Experience working in aerospace, machine shop, metal manufacturing industry.
+ Knowledge of lean manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma tools, and problem-solving methodology.
+ Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently, and take initiative.
+ Ability to motivate, influence, and educate people.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and strategic skills.
+ Ability to effectively lead a cross-functional team.
+ Proficiency in computer programs (e.g., MS Excel, MS Outlook).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree (highly preferred).
+ Multitasking and prioritization skills.

Work Environment
Flexible to work 1st shift (6:30am - 4pm) or 2nd shift (2:30pm - 12am). Must be flexible to work some weekends and holidays.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
