Summary: Receive and respond immediately to incoming customer calls regarding parts or service that is not covered under warranty or for machines that are beyond the warranty period.
What is expected of me? - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Follow the agreed practices as defined in the quality management system.
2. Work within the scope of your responsibilities.
3. Check your work to verify its accuracy in meeting the objectives.
• Take incoming calls from customers needing parts or chemistry for their machines.
• Research parts and material needed, formulate price, submit to customer and log on sales request form.
• Expedite material after it is ordered.
• Coordinate repair order shipments in a timely manner.
• Revise order backlogs.
• Maintain communications with manufacturing supervisors and engineers to review status of the jobs on the floor. Expedite all parts that may be missing for the job.
• Assist in answering questions to potential customers on the chatline on CTG’s website.
• Update current CRM on orders that require engineering and manufacturing time.
• Assist VP of Sales in other projects as needed.
• Coordinate order-processing procedures from beginning to end.
• Prepare quotations for small rebuilds, parts, chemistry, Millipore equipment and field service.
• Ship orders out of Encompix.
• Purchasing components pertaining to orders if requested by purchasing.
• Continuously monitor the amorders-ransohoff and amorders-blackstone email addresses and complete tasks within appropriate time period.
• Other functions as directed.
• Run and track monthly commission reports for outside reps
• Work with accounting to ensure invoices are correct and processed after shipments are completed
• Work with each team member to ensure past due accounts are followed up.
• Develop and maintain concise work instructions on tasks.
• Train and guide new employees on current processes.
• Work with purchasing on any issues acquiring parts and review stocking levels to ensure they are at an adequate level to support the inside sales team.
• Work with the VP of Sales to develop measurable dashboards to track the efficiency of the Inside Sales team.
• Create a list of spare parts for all new machines and present the list to customers when runoffs are completed.
• Follow up with the inside team on all open sales quotes on a weekly basis.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
College degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, or a related field. Previous sales experience in capital equipment beneficial.
Language Skills:
Communicate verbally and/or in writing with other employees, other departments and supervision and customers regarding work in progress, problems and/or completion. Must be able to present information to groups of employees, customers, vendors etc.
Mathematical Skills:
General math abilities.
Reasoning Ability:
Be able to identify work process problems and possible solutions.

Physical Demands:
Some travel will be necessary. Must be able to adjust visual focus.
Work Environment:
Traditional office atmosphere. Temperature standard. Quiet noise level. May need to go into shop environment on an as needed basis.
