Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join their team in a school setting, supporting children with disabilities ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in screening, identifying, assessing, diagnosing, treating, and recommending services for students with motor skill delays or disabilities. Their mission is to promote optimal function and engagement in meaningful activities, while also remediating developmental disabilities. This position follows a school calendar, therefore working 10 months.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct evaluations to assess students' motor skills and functional abilities.

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with each student's IEP goals.

- Collaborate with families and other professionals to provide comprehensive support.

- Maintain accurate documentation regarding services provided and students' progress.

- Supervise and delegate tasks to physical therapist assistants as needed.

- Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss students' needs and goals.

Qualifications:

- Valid New York State Physical Therapist license required.

- Prior experience working in a school setting and with children is preferred.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- A passion for enhancing the lives of children with disabilities.

The salary range for this position is $53-$57/hour
