POSITION SUMMARY
This position will lead a high functioning team that will create an integration operating model for Banner Health to achieve high quality integration outcomes for inorganic growth projects. Responsible to establish a state-of-the-art integration office framework to optimize existing partnerships and promote high value integration for new partnerships, joint ventures and other venture investments. Will introduce innovative reporting and analytics capabilities to promote greater visibility and understanding around performance of Banner's existing joint ventures (e.g. Select Physical Therapy and Atlas Healthcare Partners). Represents Banner with integrity and professionalism and forges trusted relationships and alliances with internal/external stakeholders through cross-partnership alignment and demonstrable ROI with post-close integration outcomes and related performance objectives.
CORE FUNCTIONS
+ Engages with Banner leaders to shape and execute integration goals that enhance Banner’s market position, organizational performance, and bi-directional value creation across the health system and existing partnerships.
+ Accountable for achieving integration goals and strategies for partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions within the health system.
+ Identifies and helps implement impactful technologies required to support a high functioning Integration Management Office, including advanced analytic capabilities to monitor operational impact and opportunities at all stages of integration to optimize partnerships, driving improvements in efficiency, quality, and patient experience.
+ Partners closely with Banner technology organization to support development of technological innovations with growth and broader partnerships portfolio in mind and innovation use cases that will produce high value, high impact.
+ Develops cutting-edge "Integration Center of Excellence" to spur internal talent development for IMO positions and capitalize on internal ideation to inform innovative solutions that will advance integration experiences, including improved cultural and operational assimilation activities.
+ Utilizes problem solving and mediation tactics to addresses challenges and overcome barriers that arise during integration processes and implements change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions for team members and stakeholders.
+ Resolves integration problems and leverages opportunities, including use cases for AI and other emerging technologies to drive improved outcomes and ROI.
+ Leverages industry presence to establish Banner as an innovator and change catalyst in integration philosophy and execution. Scopes and leads – in partnership with other Banner leaders – cultural transformation necessary to operationalize integration strategies and sustain long-term successes in Banner’s growth efforts.
+ In concert with change management and process engineering teams, scopes and develops IMO-dedicated cultural and change management vertical to drive strategic change management initiatives to ensure a smooth cultural transition during the integration processes, fostering an environment of collaboration and engagement among teams.
+ Ensures partnerships and ventures comply with healthcare regulations, legal standards, and organizational policies and works closely with legal and compliance teams to address potential risks and implement mitigation strategies. Fosters environment in which strategy & growth and finance teams can improve upon existing processes to perform due diligence and financial modeling for prospective partnerships.
+ Develops relationship with the leadership in Banner’s core functional areas to drive integration planning, engagement and execution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Expert-level working knowledge of principles, practices, and operations in assigned area of responsibility as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of fifteen years of progressively responsible managerial experience in designated facility, business entity or area, including a minimum of ten years management level experience within a major health care organization, health system setting, or large multi-operational corporate environment in complex industries similar to healthcare.
+ Expert-level knowledge and awareness of area of expertise in designated facility, business entity or area. Experience working in an integrated delivery system, multi-hospital system, or managed care organization in a management level position in assigned area of responsibility. Must demonstrate expert-level understanding of innovative technologies and emerging technology solutions driving high impact and ROI within IMO initiatives. Must have experience driving significant transformation for large health systems, including understanding of all operational workstreams, dependencies and pragmatic application of technologies to spur performance, efficiencies and outcomes
+ Expert-level understanding of partnerships, including full life-cycle of M&A, divestitures and joint ventures; must also understand critical operational and relationship nuances with independent providers, critical to defining well-rounded integration strategy
+ Experience building robust, competitive affiliate strategy programs, including understanding of Stark laws, subsidy strategies, pricing / scoping trends and industry trends
+ Experience with mediation tactics, and/or ADR (alternative dispute resolution)Proven track record of driving successful performance outcomes and accomplishing organizational goals
+ Experience anticipating and responding to the needs of internal and external customers
+ Strong financial and business acumen. Knowledge of core drivers and influencing pressures impacting financial health of integration and growth portfolio
+ Able to translate and elevate data and analytics to an executive level that promotes executive consumption and understanding
+ Skilled in building partnerships with senior level stakeholders, management, staff to achieve goals and objectives; managing problems and situations where uncertainty is inherent
+ Develop high functioning, high performing teams and ensure high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction
+ Critical thinking skills and ability to challenge current processes in way that produces greater results; developing and evaluating best practices and emerging trends for organizational applicability and appropriateness; tenured executive that leads by example, acts with urgency and embrace areas of grey; able to operate in details when necessary to construct new and innovative solutions for complex and varying problems and situations while considering the larger perspective or context; mentoring and coaching staff by providing open and honest feedback to enhance performance
