A government facility is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our healthcare team. This contract position involves providing comprehensive healthcare services in a unique detention environment. APPs will work collaboratively with physicians to deliver high-quality care to detainees.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide acute, emergent, and chronic healthcare.
+ Perform comprehensive history and physical evaluations.
+ Conduct minor outpatient surgical procedures.
+ Manage infectious diseases and public health concerns.
+ Offer gender-specific care, including transgender care and pregnancy management.
+ Participate in court-ordered treatment plans for psychiatric and life-threatening conditions.
+ Provide infirmary care and manage tuberculosis treatment.
+ Ensure compliance with infection control policies and universal precautions.
+ Educate patients on health matters.
Required Education and Experience:
+ Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner program.
+ One year of full-time experience in primary care within the past five years.
+ Experience in detention, correctional, or residential healthcare settings is preferred.
Licensure and Certification:
+ Unrestricted, current license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
+ National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
+ Unrestricted license to prescribe controlled medications.
+ Certification in Basic Life Support or CPR.

Duty Hours and On-Call Requirements:
+ Rotational on-call duties, including availability during weekends and holidays.
+ Response required during emergency activations.
Security Requirements:
+ Favorable fitness determination by the Department of Homeland Security’s Personnel Security Unit.
Physical Demands:
+ Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
+ Respond to medical emergencies within four minutes.
