• Addiction Counselor (LCADC) - Part Time (Hybrid)

    Salary: $42 / Hour

     

    Position: Addiction Counselor

     

    Facility Type: Outpatient Mental Health Clinic

     

    Licensure accepted: LCADC

     

    Population: Children, Adolescents and Adults

     

    Schedule: Part Time

     

    + Schedule is flexible between client and staff member, they open Monday-Saturday 9am-8pm so last session can be 7 pm.

    + Part time hours starting out, for about 10-20 hours a week with patients added on as needed.

    + Hybrid position depending on the patients' needs the session can be either in person or telehealth.

     

    Start Date: ASAP (~2 weeks following offer)

     

    Contract Length: 18 weeks (opportunity for internal transition)

    EssentialDuties/Responsibilities:

    + Managing all aspects of a case from date of entry to date of discharge.

    + Evaluating patients' physical and mental behaviors.

    + Developing appropriate treatment and recovery plans.

    + Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions.

    + Monitoring patients over time to access treatment progress.

    + Collaborating with psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, social workers, and departments of correction.

    + Identifying behaviors that interfere with treatment and recovery.

    + Assisting primary caregivers to manage addiction-related behavior.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work or public health required

    + Current license or certificate in addictions/substance abuse counseling in the state of assignment required

    + Experience in behavioral health guidelines, to include behavioral health assessments, individual and group therapy, clinical management of patients with mental illness and / or substance abuse issues preferred

    + Current CPR if applicable

    + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

    + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
