Job Summary

We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to work directly in the kitchen and assist the Food Service Manager in all aspects of food service operations. This is a seasonal position that may require living on site at Mah-Kah-Wee and/or Riverpoint Program Centers from Sunday through Friday as assigned. The ideal candidate will have experience in a food service setting and be willing to work long hours while moving throughout the kitchen at a fast-paced level.

Job Qualifications

Assist in the daily operations of the camp food service operations. - Preparation of food as directed by the Food Service Supervisor. - Follow all safety guidelines put in place to help prevent the spread of all communicable diseases. - Understand and follow all health and safety regulations according to GSC, ACA, local, and state regulations. This includes personal health and wellness and reporting any communicable condition that may occur. - Ensure that all deliveries are checked in and put away in a timely manner, inventory is maintained, food waste is regulated and logged accordingly. - Set up/clean all areas daily for meals including: service line, lodge, storage, salad bar, bathroom, etc. - Set up food, supplies, and utensils for meals, snacks, and special events including pack-out. - Wash all dishes, supplies, and utensils according to regulated washing methods and temperatures. Qualifications & Education: - High School Diploma or GED.
