    About the OrganizationEWASTE+ is a R2/RIOS Certified Electronics Recycler ITAD company and a licensed NAID AAA Certified Data Destruction Contractor.

     

    EWASTE+ focuses on the recovery of value from idle, obsolete and excess electronic equipment and operates a large-scale processing facility in Victor, New York (near Rochester) and two regional consolidation facilities in Albany and New York City. The company utilizes environmentally sound processing methods that maximize value and recovery while eliminating disposal of electronics in landfills.     What You’ll Do:

    + Test, troubleshoot, and repair laptops in a manufacturing environment.

    + Work with a variety of tools and software, gaining skills in computer hardware and basic software navigation.

    + Learn the ins and outs of the refurbishing process while contributing to our mission of sustainable electronics recycling.

    Schedule:

    Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm(5-day, 40-hour work week)

    Compensation:

    + Pay: Up to $18 an hour, includes a $4,000 annual production incentive paid quarterly

    Who We’re Looking For:

    + Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel.

    + Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete computer-based forms.

    + Physical ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds and perform tasks that require standing, kneeling, and balancing.

    + Experience or knowledge of electronic hardware/software is a plus, but not required.

    + Willingness to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

    Position Requirements

    This job operates in a Warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. This role routinely uses a hand truck, barcode scanner, basic hand tools, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

     

    + Basic computer knowledge and navigation

    + Capable of completing computer based forms

    + Experience with Microsoft Excel

    + Knowledge of electronic hardware and software is a plus

    + Regularly lift and move up to 40 pounds unassisted

    + Stand for extended periods of time

    + Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

    + Work safely in a fast paced environment
