Sr. Systems Programmer ​ Operations & Technology Operating Systems ​   Puerto Rico       General Responsibilities • Install, configure, and implement IBM Mainframe Z/VM and Z/Linux Operating systems and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) software. • Analyze and solve production problems related to the IBM Mainframe system. • Responsible for IBM's periodic operating system and hardware maintenance. • Responsible for maintaining disaster recovery procedures and capacity planning. • Responsible for Zos Storage Management.     Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.   Education and Experience Required • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field from an accredited institution. • Five years of experience in Z/VM, Z/Linux and Z/OS • Previous experience in Installation, configuration, and testing is required.     Knowledge and Skills Required • Knowledge of Z/VM operating systems. • Knowledge of Z/Linux operating systems. • Knowledge of Zos Storage Management. • IBM Utilities ( Idcams, Ditto, etc.). • Ability to plan and coordinate effectively with technical support personnel. • Problem management skills with emphasis on problem analysis and root cause determination and resolution. • Knowledge of Microsoft Word Processing, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Experience in documentation tasks and processes. • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and oral. #LI-DNI     Additional Information Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm    Available to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region.   “Evertec Group, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
