Major/Essential Functions:
+ Provides Oncology in-patient care, outpatient care, and in-patient consultation services
+ Supervises and teaches students and residents in both in-patient and outpatient care
+ Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
+ Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance such as committee work
+ Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
+ Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
+ Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
+ Exhibits teamwork orientation and acts as a team player
+ Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with Paul L. Foster School of Medicine

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Board certification in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine
+ Board certification in Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine
+ Experience teaching Medical Students and Residents
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish
+ Regional or emerging national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

Required Qualifications:
+ M.D. or D.O. degree
+ Licensed, or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas
+ Successful completion of ACGME-accredited residency training in Internal Medicine
+ Successful completion of ACGME-accredited fellowship training in oncology
