    Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

    Major/Essential Functions:

    + Provides clinical care for children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental and behavioral concerns, including but not limited to: autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other neurodevelopmental conditions

    + Provides outpatient care with occasional inpatient consults

    + Participates in the education of medical students and residents

    + Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures

    + Engages in the advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations

    + Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties

    + Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission

    + Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

    + Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso

    + Bilingual (English and Spanish)

    + Experience in teaching Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Medicine to medical students and residents in clinical and classroom settings

    + Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics in Developmental - Behavioral Pediatrics

    + Established or emerging regional or national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher

    Pay Statement:

    + Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship Program

    + Texas medical license, or eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Texas
