Summary

Responsible for the cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining of the College buildings and for identifying and reporting necessary repairs of equipment and buildings. Responsible for the scheduled preventative floor maintenance and care of hard and soft surface floors which includes: buffing, stripping, refinishing, carpet extraction, and washing of walls to preserve floor quality and project a clean, professional image. Responsible for event set-ups and other duties as assigned. Responsible for daily cleaning of the facility 8 hours a day, 5 days a week under the general supervision of the Manager of Environmental Services. Incumbents are subject to hours beyond the normal workday.

Responsibilities

+ Cleans assigned areas to provide a safe and pleasant environment.

+ Maintains floors and corridors by buffing, polishing and refinishing, and washing walls to preserve floor quality and project a clean, professional image.

+ Maintains furniture, building, and equipment by identifying and reporting repair needs.

+ Practices infection control guidelines by adhering to safety precautions while completing job assignment.

+ Follows Services First principles as reflected in the College's Service First policy

+ Responsible for event set-ups and take downs.

+ Performs other accountabilities as required or directed.
