Responsibilities
**Duties:** Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Deliver analytic solutions across a wide variety of client applications and build inferential and predictive models, including machine learning algorithms. Involved in processing, integrating and manipulating big data with distributed systems and customer data pipelines; to synthesize results and translate findings into compelling stories that resonate with clients. Translate marketing and business questions into data queries. Use distributed computing systems to access and manipulate big data sources. Conduct exploratory analysis to identify relevant insights and useful transformations. Apply quantitative techniques to uncover latent patterns in the data. Interpretate data, analytical results and visuals to generate conclusions and recommendations. Ensure that analytic tasks and results meet established objectives and timelines. Share knowledge and research to advance the collective knowledge and skills of our Data Science practice. Keep a detailed record of the data sources, methodologies, model development processes and create necessary documentation for models and analysis performed. Build predictive models based on the historic sales data of customers and fine-tune the models to improve the performance.
Qualifications
**Requirements:** Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Analytics, Engineering or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or one year of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. Position also requires one year of experience in each of the following:
1. Utilize R, Python and Pyspark to construct predictive models employing diverse statistical and machine learning methods as well as for techniques like time series forecasting to predict upcoming sales figures.
2. Engage in media mix utilizing R to aid the business in comprehending the impact of their media investment on sales.
3. Produce numerous analytical reports using Tableau to create data visualization and convey intricate information in a comprehensible manner.
4. Employ various clustering techniques such as K-means and KNN to tailor marketing campaigns to enhance sales growth.
5. Conduct customer segmentation within big data platforms with Databricks and Qubole.
6. Apply color-coding based on the standard deviation values of each segment utilizing MS Excel macros (VBA) to enhance the comprehension of the segmentation.Required to work from Company Office (Birmingham, MI) certain days per week. Telecommuting allowed for balance of week.
Additional information
Compensation Range: $87,210.00 - $119,300.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
