    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time School Social Worker to join our team and foster positive transformation in the lives of elementary school students.

     

    Hours: 8 am-4 pm

     

    Grade Levels: K-8th grade

     

    Caseload: Typically around 30 students

    In this position, you will:

    + Play a crucial part in supporting kindergarten through 8th-grade students

    + Work within one school, with another social worker within the building

    + Participate in bimonthly department meetings

    Responsibilities:

    + Provide targeted support to identified students in the elementary setting.

    + Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student well-being and success.

    + Advocate for students’ holistic welfare (social, emotional, academic).

    + Cross-functional collaboration with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs.

    + Provide push-in and pull-out services as needed

    + Facilitate IEP meetings

    + Develop and track interventions to understand IEP effectiveness.

    + Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work

    + License eligible in the State of Washington

    + Previous experience in a PreK-5 setting preferred
