    Job Summary:

    The Working Lead supervises and coordinates the operations, maintenance, and repairs of all machines. Responsible for programming and running multiple Mazak lathes/Mills. Make sure their machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with the materials needed, well-maintained, and perform periodic quality and rate checks on output. Overseas and communicates the scheduled work in their department to be sure work is completed according to schedule. Create a productive work environment while setting a positive example for those working with them. Attends and contributes to daily and weekly reporting of productivity for his or her area. Oversees employees and make sure they're working and safe on the job. Willing to do any task assigned by leaders

    Essential Job Functions:

    + Daily allocation of work orders distributed from Production to area work force for completion.

    + Review operators run rates and efficiencies for correct output.

    + Assist lead machinist and shop manager with employee relations.

    + Monitor and escalate any issues in area to Management.

    + Program machines for jobs to be completed.

    + Performs work efficiently according to cycle time standards, and minimizes scrap and material used during the programming of the equipment.

    + Provides necessary detailed feedback for changes to engineering masters and product routers.

    + Loads and replenishes machines by lifting stock into position, typically using an industrial forklift.

    + Prepares and replenishes finished goods and WIP packaging for the off-loading of completed parts.

    + Uses measurement tools and optical equipment to verify machine settings by measuring first piece, and sample workpieces, through the adherence to industry and certification specific standards.

    + Maintains a clean work area and safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

    + Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

    + Walk the shop floor to make sure employees are working and safe several times a shift.

    Skills and Abilities:

    + Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written.

    + Problem solving skills to know why machines are not at peak performance, increase output and fix errors.

    + Attention to detail with precision equipment and product.

    + Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

    + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    + Ability to multitask and keep employees/machines on task.

    Education and Experience:

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    + Minimum 3 years' related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Mazatrol lathe programming experience.

    + Mazatrol mill programming experience.

    + Mastercam experience preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Regularly lift 30-50 pounds.

    + Standing, sitting and walking for long periods of time.

    + Regularly perform repetitive tasks.

    + Regularly possess manual dexterity to evaluate parts or pieces quickly and accurately.

    + Specific vision abilities required include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Salary Range:

    $32.00 - $37.00/Hour based on experience
