Patient Accounts Rep- AVN, Full Time, Days

Reports to: Supervisor, Financial Services
Required:
+ High school diploma or GED.
Preferred:
+ College degree preferred.
+ Experience as a biller, cash poster, or collector preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely posting of cash payments manually or electronically
+ Post adjustments in compliance with contracts
+ Coordinate and communicate with several departments to ensure timely and accurate payments of accounts
+ Reviews correspondence and rejection data from insurance carriers; posts rejections and performs reconciliations.
+ Ensure daily cash batch verifications
+ Process credit card payments
+ Process zero pay explanation of benefits and appropriate reasons for zero pay
+ Download payor remits from multiple websites
+ Maintain documentation of notes in the system relating to and about each patient account
+ Research and resolve payment discrepancies
+ May transfer secondary balances to appropriate financial class and provide documentation for processing the claims.
+ Posts cash daily and timely.
+ Balances to corporate cash reports.
+ Assist with month end closing
+ Assist in training new colleagues
+ Able to meet daily and monthly deadlines.
+ May process refunds for supervisory approval.
+ Perform and maintain posting level per company policy
+ Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA and Federal Payor guidelines and regulation.
+ Performs other related duties as needed .
