    Job Description: At Shaw Contract, we believe in creating innovative, sustainable, and design-driven flooring solutions for diverse markets. Our Account Managers are trusted advisors who collaborate with the A&D community and other clients to transform ideas into reality. This role is ideal for a seasoned account manager with a passion for sales and design, coupled with a desire to grow their career within a supportive, results-oriented environment.

    Responsibilities:

    + Characteristics to include honesty, integrity, hard work, enthusiasm, GRIT and motivation.

    + Build strong, trusting relationships with clients, including A&D professionals , flooring contractors, and end-users to select appropriate products for their projects that fit within their design criteria, budget and time frame.

    + Must be motivated and comfortable working and supporting a closely knit high performing team environment.

    + Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities while managing and growing existing accounts.

    + Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including product selection, specification, order management, delivery coordination, installation oversight, and maintenance program communication.

    + Leverage CRM tools like Salesforce to track opportunities and manage the customer base effectively.

    + Travel daily throughout assigned area to call on existing customers and prospect new customers to solicit business.

    + Follow up on a variety of leads from sources such as Dodge & networking groups

     

    Commercial Account Managers must implement the selling process in his/her area; they must have the ability to make good judgment decisions. A full understanding of the product line is essential. Furthermore, an understanding of the application that each product serves is critical. The ability to interface/communicate with a diverse group of customers in a friendly and respectable manner is a must. The ideal candidate will possess a flexible personality and be able to communicate clearly to other persons, both orally and in written form. Commercial Account Managers must give presentations to architects, designers, and end-users to educate them on the flooring industry and how Shaw Contract can benefit them on their projects.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    + High school diploma/GED.

    + A minimum of 3 years of account management or industry sales experience within the Connecticut market.

    + Residence in Connecticut.

    Preferred:

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, design, or a related field.

    + Experience working with the A&D community and a strong network within the commercial flooring industry in the Connecticut market.
