    Schedule: PRN status, Dayshift, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

    As a Patient Care Tech at MercyOne, you will participate in the provision of safe, quality patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse through support of standards and philosophies of Genesis Medical Center. Provides assistance to nursing staff and physicians in various patient care and non-patient care activities. Performs tasks in a caring and efficient manner that supports customer service and assists with department related housekeeping, and supply/equipment/facility maintenance tasks.

    General Requirements:

    Education: High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience

     

    Special Training: Basic Life Support

     

    Experience: No experience required.

     

    Interpersonal Skills: Interaction is with a variety of people. These may be fellow employees, customers, the public or others outside the organization.

     

    Communications are of limited difficulty. Interactions usually involve short, straightforward exchanges of information. The job requires a limited amount of interpersonal skills. Interactions are non-stressful encounters and dealing with uncomplicated problem situations.

     

    Working Conditions: There is routine exposure to highly adverse environmental conditions including physical hazards, health and safety risks, and otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment. Personal risks require safety equipment or precautions to be followed closely. The time the employee may be exposed to these conditions is limited to 70% or less of the workday.
