If you are a FINANCE professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our St. Louis, MO location, you will collaborate with the finance, operations, and technology teams at all levels of the company to drive value across the business units. If you are highly collaborative, analytical, and an excellent communicator, you will help business units reduce conversion costs globally. If you have experience with financial and operational metrics, change agility, and a strong eye for business, you will put those skills to use in a fast-paced, growing organization. Your duties and responsibilities will be completed under the general guidance of the Senior Director of Finance Operations.
As a Senior Finance Operations Analyst, you will:
+ Collaborate with Business Unit Operations Finance teams and perform analyses to drive the delivery of operational metrics in the annual operating plan and report performance to executive leadership.
+ Improve and evolve financial planning and analysis systems and improve the short-term and long-term forecasting and reporting processes around efficiency and cost reduction metrics.
+ Review of financial analyses, plans, and presentations for capital plans and new product development as required for management.
+ Assist in preparing and reporting monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc cost and variance reporting, and provide analysis that assists in developing additional operational metrics.
+ Assist in the development of process and report standardization across all Business Units and Plants to drive best-in-class practices that increase plant efficiency and financial performance.
+ Assist with the improvement and standardization of the annual and monthly cost accounting process (i.e., standard cost roll, reduced timelines, processes, systems) across the enterprise. Proactively seek to improve processes and implement best-in-class solutions, raising quality and productivity in a calculated way. Assist in the design of processes to supervise projects and deliver results that go above and beyond.
+ Maintain ongoing and fluid communication with the SDFO, operations finance, and accounting team, regarding ongoing operational and financial performance, planning/forecasting assumptions, and accounting matters.
Required education, experience, & skills:
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field plus a minimum of five (5) years of progressive related Finance experience.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional presentation skills.
+ Expert-level Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Oracle or other operational/financial systems.
+ Ability to collaborate optimally with various levels and geographic areas of the organization.
+ Ability to identify inconsistencies in the reporting of key operational metrics and detailed understanding of how those metrics relate to operational performance.
+ Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team.
+ Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
+ Eight (8) years of dynamic, related Finance experience, including operational cost accounting, planning, and forecasting experience.
+ MBA preferred.
+ Copeland's experience in a plant-related Finance role.
+ Ability and desire to apply new applications to solving business issues.
Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:
This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
