    The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), Technical Data Branch Technical provides technical documentation support for conventional ordnance, weapons systems and weapon platforms into the Logistics Archive Document Scanning System. This effort is to provide technical data management support. This role is a temp role that will go until the fall of 2025.

    Responsibilities

    ***Your key duties will be converting documents into a digital format, data entry and metadata capture.

    + Perform technical data retrieval from Government-owned databases and maintain weapons ordnance data.

    + Collect all technical data which will be used to identify every component, part, and bulk material used in the production of the weapons system or munitions.

    + Capture relevant metadata from the technical data and catalog it in the Government-owned database.

    + Use Government-owned databases to ensure concise and correct data for work assigned.

    + Create export files for all metadata capture and convert any technical data elements to Adobe.pdf. Provide electronic files in .doc, or .tif, or saved to government-owned database, if that data cannot be converted.

    + Perform technical data archival of data that may be hosted on drawings, specifications, aperture cards, microfiche, microfilm, or other media.

    + Convert technical data used to identify components in the production of the weapons system or munitions.

    + Convert data to .pdf for storage.

    Salary

    + This is a Full-Time position

    + Non-Exempt

    + The salary range is $23.15 to $27.15 an hour

    Required Qualifications

    + High School diploma or GED and Active DoD Secret Clearance

    + Up to 3 years’ experience. At least one (1) year experience in defense life cycle (acquisition) or commercial logistics support of electronic systems, to include logistics principles, practices and processes.

    + Must have familiarity with Microsoft Office Products and Adobe Professional

    + Experience with Data Entry and Metadata Capture

    + Experience with Technical Data including Engineering Drawings, Specifications, Engineering Change Proposals and similar

    + Experience with legacy media including Aperture Cards, Large Format Drawings, Microfilm and Microfiche

    Preferred

    + Experience using scanning devices and their applications to include image software i.e., Kofax, and Images .
