Overview *** This position is contingent upon award of future contracts and is not immediately available *** SOSi is seeking an Nurse Practitioner to join a large medical support services program in the Greater El Paso Region supporting our U.S. Government Customer. Essential Job Duties Provides direct care, within their scope of practice, to patients, including children,pregnant women, and adults, to include emergency and urgent care. Consults with the Supervising Physician, Physician, or Pediatric Adviser for complex medical, pediatric, or psychiatric patients, completes orders recommended/authorized by the physician. Performs history and physical assessment, behavioral health care, minor outpatient procedures, patient education, and refers any care beyond the scope of the medical unit to local medical facilities emergency departments or urgent care centers. Ability to apply professional principles, procedures, and techniques for Nurse Practitioners in patient care. Minimum Requirements Must be a U.S. citizen. Candidates must have an unrestricted, current Registered Nurse license and Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse license valid in the location in which duty will be performed. Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program located in a State, the District of-Columbia, or a U.S. territory. Must have a minimum of one year of clinical provider experience in direct patient care as a certified nurse practitioner. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Clean criminal background check. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish encouraged, but not required. Experience in detention/correctional healthcare, ambulatory care, or a pediatric caresetting encouraged, but not required. Work Environment May be required to travel short notice. May be required to serve at various medical units within the sector/region. Duties will be performed on-site at medical units, flexible scheduling and overtime are optional, as available. Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and pressure.
