The Palliative Care Provider is part of a multidisciplinary team that focuses on improving the quality of life of people with serious, life-limiting illnesses through symptom management, support, and shared medical decision-making. Along with Physicians, Palliative Care Nurses, Social Workers and Chaplains, they help manage patients with high symptom burden, poor quality of life, psychosocial distress, and/or complex advanced care planning needs in the inpatient setting.     Nurse Practitioner job details:

    Position Details:

    + Full time

    + 40 hours per week

    + Monday-Friday,

    + No Weekends

    + No Call

    + Previous Palliative Care or Hospital Medicine preferred

    Essential Job Duties:

    + Conducts physical examinations and preventive health measures as per physician's guidance.

    + Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to evaluate patient's healthcare needs.

    + Documents findings, formulates treatment plans, and collaborates with healthcare team for comprehensive care.

    + Submits patient healthcare plans for periodic review by physicians.

    + Prescribes medications, recommends therapies, and refers patients to specialists as necessary while ensuring compliance with regulations and professional ethics.

    Qualifications:

    + Graduate from an accredited MSN program

    + Must have Indiana RN license.

    + Must have active APRN/CSR license or be eligible for licenses.

    License/Certification:

    + BLS certification
