Description
Looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate with a degree in accounting to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a member of our accounting team, you will assist with essential financial tasks, ensure compliance with accounting principles, and contribute to the team's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
+ General Ledger Support: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts in compliance with company policies and GAAP guidelines.
+ Accounts Payable & Receivable: Aid in processing invoices, recording payments, and monitoring accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
+ Bank Reconciliations: Conduct and support bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
+ Journal Entries: Prepare and post standard journal entries, including adjustments and corrections, with proper documentation and approval.
+ Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
+ Expense Tracking: Process employee expense reports and ensure transactions align with company policies.
+ Audit Support: Help gather and organize documentation to support internal and external audits.
+ Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
+ Ad-Hoc Projects: Provide support for special projects and initiatives as assigned by the accounting or finance leadership.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
+ Experience: Previous internship or relevant experience in accounting is a plus but not required.
+ Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential (basic knowledge of formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables preferred); experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a bonus.
+ Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to catch errors and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
+ Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
+ Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
+ Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
+ Interest in pursuing CPA certification in the future.
