Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Hardware Analyst in the transportation technology consulting industry in New York City. This role offers a blend of on-site and remote work options. As a Hardware Analyst, you will be involved in various Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) projects, collaborating with team members in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Engage with regional and national stakeholders to develop concept of operations documents, capturing their transportation needs
• Craft high-level designs for ITS deployments
• Generate detailed designs for ITS and connected vehicle communication standards
• Validate and verify ITS and connected vehicle communication standards, including crafting test documentation
• Manage and maintain regional ITS architectures, involving the development of hyper-linked web pages
• Ensure quality control and manage transit service datasets
• Develop and deliver training courses on specific ITS topics
• Participate in occasional business travel to engage with clients and stakeholders
• Extract requirements for specifications and ITS standards based on client and stakeholder transportation needs Requirements • Proficient knowledge in Computer Hardware, including the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with an understanding of electrical systems and their components.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex hardware systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
• Familiarity with hardware testing procedures and debugging.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively articulate hardware-related issues and solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to keep up with the latest trends and advancements in computer hardware technology.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
