As a Senior Transportation Project Manager, you will have an important role pursuing new work and building client relationships. Working with a multidisciplinary team, you’ll solve problems and challenges in a team environment where everyone is valued. This position will give you the chance to work on exciting transportation projects that will require your expertise, experience, and leadership as you proactively identify and solve complex problems; take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions; and guide others in solving complex issues. As a self-motivated professional, you’ll have the opportunity to lead design teams to deliver projects on time and within budget while supporting business development strategies to grow our transportation portfolio and presence in Utah.
Our Senior Transportation Project Manager will:
• Lead and manage teams through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract.
• Be accountable for successfully completing projects to the satisfaction of clients and key stakeholders, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacobs’ business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management.
• Play a leadership role in business development activities that result in the award of new contracts. This typically includes client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, oral presentations, and contract negotiations consistent with established business development processes.
• Maintain and/or develop relationships with new and existing clients to determine their needs and manage expectations
• Prepare or oversee the design for roadway, highway, and/or traffic engineering projects
• Identify creative and innovative solutions based on client, project, and site constraints
• Provide technical guidance, oversight, and perform quality reviews
Based in our Salt Lake City office, our hybrid work environment provides the flexibility to work as an integral member of our team.
• At least 15 years of transportation or Utah state government project management experience
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Existing client relationships with DOT and/or other relevant agencies
• Experience leading discipline and project teams on multi-discipline infrastructure engineering design and construction projects as well as on-call task orders
• Ability and willingness to travel on occasion
