Description
We have partnered with a company on their search for a Property Manager with prior real estate/property accounting experience. As the Property Manager, you will oversee general ledger accounting, monitor rent collections, review tenant lease agreements, perform budgeting and financial performance tracking, review KPIs, asset management, and lead accounting personnel in day-to-day accounting functions. The ideal candidate for this role should have strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, experience with real estate accounting software, strong analytical skills, and advanced financial analysis skills.
What you get to do daily
• Arrange monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
• Assist in the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls
• Prepare financial statements and reporting packages
• Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
• Analyze and coordinating a variety of financial data and reporting it in a clear, useful manner
• Support and facilitate the auditing process
• Assist with budgeting strategies
• General Ledger Maintenance
• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations
• Provide support in due diligence
Requirements
The ideal Property Manager will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Property Manager role include and are not limited to:
• 7+ years of real estate accounting experience
• CPA highly preferred
• Must have Yardi, MRI or other property management software knowledge
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
