Description
We are looking for an experienced Procurement/Buying Specialist to join our client's team in the Woodbridge, New Jersey area. This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze market trends and historical sales data to anticipate future demand. If you have a background in sourcing, negotiation, and working with fitness equipment or e-commerce platforms, this opportunity could be a great fit for you.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct market research to analyze historical sales data and forecast product demand effectively.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms for fitness equipment and related products.
• Source products both domestically and internationally, ensuring quality and availability align with business needs.
• Manage procurement for various platforms, including e-commerce sites such as Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and company websites.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis to support purchasing decisions.
• Generate and interpret reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights to the procurement team.
• Collaborate with fitness clubs and wholesale clients to fulfill their equipment needs efficiently.
• Maintain strong margins and a business-focused approach to achieve profitability goals.
• Participate in training to master internal procurement systems and tools.
• Adapt to seasonal demands, including occasional weekend work during peak periods.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or buying, preferably within the fitness or e-commerce industries.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools is highly desirable.
• Ability to analyze market trends and historical data to forecast product demand accurately.
• Experience sourcing products both domestically and internationally.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple procurement channels.
• Business acumen with a focus on profit margins and cost management.
