As a Roadway Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the technical design and management of highway and roadway projects throughout Florida, including FDOT Districts 2 and 3.

     

    You’ll oversee complex transportation projects, ensuring effective planning, design, and execution while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges—both locally and globally.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Serve as Project Manager for roadway and bridge design projects, including operational and safety improvements.

    * Lead technical teams in developing solutions to complex roadway design challenges, requiring a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.

    * Provide technical expertise by formulating and developing advanced design concepts, techniques, and standards.

    * Ensure effective utilization of engineering personnel while maintaining high technical quality standards.

    * Work with business development and marketing teams to secure new projects and expand client relationships.

    * Guide projects from concept development through detailed design, ensuring alignment with FDOT standards and regulations.

    * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

    * Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

    * Extensive experience designing highway and roadway projects

    * Project management expertise in delivering FDOT infrastructure projects

    * Strong proficiency in Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads

    * Ability to lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment

    Ideally, You'll Also Have:

    * Master’s degree in Civil Engineering

    * Established relationships with FDOT, ideally within Districts 2 and 3

    * Prior experience managing local, state, and/or federal transportation projects

    * Strong mathematical, analytical, and time management skills

    * Experience with horizontal and vertical roadway alignments, and developing roadway components for construction plans

     

    This is a hybrid role. Ideally, you will work from a local Jacobs office on average 2 days per week. Travel for this role is less than 10% per year. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
