    Schedule: M – F, 7 AM – 3:30 PM

     

    Reports to: Shop Manager

     

    Salary Range: $18 – $21/hour + benefits

     

    Power-Flo Technologies is now hiring a Panel Shop Helper to join our UL Certified Panel Shop in New Hyde Park. You will strive to provide safe electrical systems for a variety of customers.

    Panel Shop Helper Responsibilities :

    You will assist the technicians and gain experience with the following:

    + Reading and following electrical schematics

    + Laying out panel backplates

    + Wiring panels in the shop based off a schematic

    + Assembling of various electrical components

    + Installing and repairing electrical equipment and fixtures

    + Installing various types of raceway and cable tray systems

    + Troubleshooting motor and control systems

    + Performing routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems

    + Adhering to all quality and safety codes

    + Installing and repairing electrical equipment and fixtures

    + Building Panels UL 508

    + Panel assembly and box build assembly

    Panel Shop Helper Qualifications :

    + Previous experience, training, or schooling in electrical work

    + Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools and other power tools

    + Willingness to learn

    + Current, valid, and clean NYS driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed

    Physical Requirements

    + Ability to stand for up to 8 Hours

    + Ability to lift 50 pounds

    + Ability to work on elevated platforms

    + Ability to climb ladders

    + This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching

    + You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions

    + Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery
