Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Corporate Controller to help lead their accounting and finance operations in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area for a NEWLY created role due to growth! This role involves overseeing financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and tax preparation while ensuring the organization maintains strong internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in accounting and financial management, along with a proven ability to lead teams and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Manage corporate closing processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations and variance analyses.

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory compliance while maintaining robust internal controls.

• Collaborate with external auditors to coordinate and support audit processes.

• Develop and oversee corporate budgets and assist in property budgeting initiatives.

• Lead monthly forecasting efforts to ensure accurate financial projections.

• Work with external partners to prepare and file corporate tax schedules and returns.

• Analyze financial trends, budgets, and costs to provide actionable insights to leadership.

• Establish and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance internal control systems.

• Supervise and mentor the accounting and finance team to foster growth and high performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with prior controller experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and US GAAP.

• Familiarity with corporate tax compliance and financial audits.

• Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Experience in shared services environments is highly desirable.

• CPA licensure is strongly preferred. Public/private mix background highly preferred.

• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
