Robert Half has a fantastic career opportunity for an articulate, highly skilled Mortgage Assistant? This could be a great position for you. Expect this role to exist within a dynamic and fast-paced working environment. The Mortgage Assistant position is based in the Fairfax, Virginia., region and is a short-term temporary employment opportunity. This position is on site working Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

Assisting the mortgage loan officer or underwriters with loan applications.

Gathering, maintaining, and reviewing loan application documentation, including credit reports, income verification, employment verification, and property appraisals.

Coordinating with clients to obtain necessary information and documents.

Scheduling and confirming appointments, meetings, and property showings.

Providing excellent customer service to clients by answering questions and resolving issues related to their loan applications.

Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies and regulations.

Preparing and maintaining reports and records related to loan activity.

Staying up to date with changes in policies and procedures within the mortgage industry.

Assisting with loan processing, including coordinating with title companies, appraisers, and other necessary parties.

Performing administrative tasks as needed, such as filing, answering emails, and handling correspondence.

Requirements

+ Must have 1+ years of prior mortgage experience.

+ Strong understanding of lending or mortgage processes.

+ Proficiency working in MS Office Suite.

+ Proficiency with loan origination software and other computer applications related

+ Exceptional communication and customer service skills, especially in liaising with lenders, real estate agents, and clients

+ Strong detail-oriented and organizational skills for managing and maintaining paper and electronic filing systems.

+ Ability and willingness to meet deadlines and produce high-quality work under pressure.

+ Excellent data entry skills.
