Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Los Alamitos, California. This role focuses on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and supporting internal processes to ensure accurate and timely decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, advanced technical skills, and the ability to improve internal controls and processes.
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive financial analysis and prepare regular reports within established deadlines.
• Maintain the financial integrity of assigned areas while refining reports to support management decisions.
• Conduct gap analysis and prepare schedules to address organizational inquiries.
• Compile and submit financial data to the parent organization and assist team members as needed.
• Prepare and summarize consolidated budgets and rolling forecasts multiple times annually.
• Ensure the thorough review of budgets and forecasts, identifying and addressing gaps pre- and post-submission.
• Conduct transfer pricing analysis and other financial evaluations as assigned.
• Assess and recommend improvements to internal controls related to financial reporting.
• Enhance the efficiency of the financial close and allocation processes, ensuring alignment with organizational reporting standards.
• Manage and update the annual business plan and forecast calendar, detailing required reports and actions. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including complex formulas.
• Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Strong understanding of budget preparation, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Familiarity with data mining techniques and business systems such as Confluence and Crystal Reports.
• Knowledge of accounting functions, auditing, and capital management.
• Ability to analyze and improve internal processes and implement recommendations effectively.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities.
