Description
We are looking for a dedicated Member Service Representative to join our team in Boston, MA. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to credit union members through a variety of banking services and transactions. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to grow within the banking industry while delivering quality customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting credit union members with their banking needs.
• Process routine transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account inquiries with accuracy and efficiency.
• Open new accounts for both new and existing members, ensuring all documentation is complete.
• Promote and explain credit union services, including electronic banking options and debit card features.
• Handle loan-related activities, including accepting applications, processing requests, and disbursing approved funds.
• Perform cash handling duties, including balancing cash drawers and conducting vault teller functions.
• Adhere to federal and state banking regulations, as well as compliance policies related to Anti-Money Laundering and the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Assist with debit card processes, such as ordering new cards, reviewing account activity, and addressing member concerns.
• Support members with inquiries regarding banking operations and ensure their satisfaction.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned to contribute to overall team success.
Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or banking-related roles.
• Proficiency in handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate records.
• Familiarity with banking operations, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
• Strong knowledge of debit card processing and related banking services.
• Ability to comply with banking regulations, including OFAC and Anti-Money Laundering policies.
• Skilled in data entry and managing member information securely.
• Excellent communication skills for handling inbound calls and resolving member inquiries.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy in all transactions.
