Description
Robert Half is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to architect, design, and implement scalable, high-confidence automated regression suites for multiple applications. This is an hybrid position in Seattle, Washington
Duration: 6-month contract
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8-5pm)
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust automated regression test suites across various applications.
+ Architect and enhance test automation frameworks using JUnit, REST-assured, and Selenium-based tools.
+ Apply Page Object Model (POM) design patterns to deliver scalable, maintainable test scripts.
+ Optimize test efficiency through parallel and cross-environment execution using tools like Selenium Grid.
+ Seamlessly integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket Actions, AWS DevOps).
+ Drive test data management strategies including synthetic data generation and environment isolation.
+ Implement dashboards and reporting tools to monitor flaky tests, failure trends, and test stability.
+ Set and enforce QA best practices, including test automation standards, defect management, and continuous improvement.
+ Collaborate across teams with integrated notifications via Microsoft Teams and email.
+ Conduct root cause analysis on automation failures and production issues, driving improvements.
+ Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to QA team members.
Requirements
+ Languages & Frameworks: Java, JUnit, REST-assured, Selenium, POM
+ CI/CD & Tools: Jenkins, Bitbucket Actions, AWS DevOps, TeamCity (or similar)
+ Test Management & Reporting: TestRail, JIRA, Kibana (or similar)
+ Test Execution: Selenium Grid, data providers, parallel testing strategies
+ Cloud & API Testing: AWS, REST APIs
+ Test Data: Synthetic data creation, environment isolation
+ Quality Metrics: Quality gates, flakiness monitoring, stability reporting
+ Preferred: Experience testing EDI and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 7+ years of QA/testing experience with a strong automation background
+ 2+ years in a test leadership role
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills
+ Proven track record of implementing QA best practices in a fast-paced environment
