    ABOUT YOU

    You are aMechanical Engineer/Accident Reconstructionist (Forensic)who thrives in a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists whose purpose is to investigate and reconstruct vehicle accidents. You bring your technical expertise and ability to comprehensively evaluate and apply the necessary engineering principles to reconstruct a variety of motor vehicle accidents.

    HOW YOU SUCCESSFULLY IMPACT CLIENTS, THE TEAM, AND THE COMPANY

    • Investigate and reconstruct passenger and commercial vehicle collisions including incidents involving pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcycles.

    • Perform vehicle, site, and evidence inspections utilizing the latest in 3D scanning technology and software, conduct testing, and collect corresponding data.

    • Perform event data recorder (EDR) and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) data downloads.

    • Prepare and deliver technical/educational presentations to existing and potential client groups and technical conferences.

    • Enhance professional/technical knowledge and credibility through continuing education programs, review of technical publications, and the preparation of technical papers.

    • Prepare technical reports of scientific findings and conclusions that can be understood by laypersons and supported by testimony during depositions and trials.

    Qualifications

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelors or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline or related field.

    • PE license and ACTAR highly preferred.

    • Hands-on mechanical and automotive experience, preferred.

    • Previous Accident Reconstruction/forensic experience AND litigation testimony is preferred.

    • A genuine interest and/or experience in the automotive industry is preferred.

    • Process a strong background in and/or have a willingness to learn the computer simulation programs to evaluate incidents.

    • The ideal candidate will have a strong problem-solving ability, an open-minded analytical skillset, and an intense curiosity to dig deep within the physical evidence to solve the case.

    • Most importantly, the ideal candidate will possess the flexibility and adaptability to navigate a week that starts with a soot-covered inspection of a vehicle and conclude the week with the ability to simply and effectively communicate complex technical topics to clients, and ultimately, an ability to articulate and educate a jury about your technical opinions.
