Georgia Piedmont Technical College is currently seeking an experienced Phlebotomy Adjunct Instructor for evening courses. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the field, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and have a commitment to preparing students for successful related Allied Health careers. Under general supervision of the Dean of Allied Health, the adjunct instructor will provide instruction and guidance to students in phlebotomy technology courses, to include: Lecture and laboratory activities; Internet class oversight; Appropriate testing and grading procedures, according to approved syllabi; Maintenance of grades and other appropriate record-keeping; Student advising; Course maintenance and grading via Blackboard; Completion of associated documentation according to assi gned deadlines.
Minimum qualifications: Current certification as a phlebotomy technician by a nationally recognized organization (ASCP, AMT, NHCA, NCCT). High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of employment experience in a CLIA regulated clinical laboratory within the past five years. Effective written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills. Must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned .
Preferred qualifications: In addition to minimum qualifications, Associate’s degree or higher in related Allied Health program from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university. Teaching experience in post-secondary level instruction. CPR Instructor License in BLS HeartSaver .
Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned
