Nursing Assistant Trainee Program
Job Description:
Ready to launch a career in healthcare with a team that values learning, growth, and compassionate care? Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is excited to offer a paid Nursing Assistant Trainee Program designed to prepare motivated individuals for a full-time or part-time role as a Nursing Assistant (NA) in one of our hospital departments.
Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will be matched to open Nursing Assistant positions across our hospital units based on availability, shift preference, and candidate interest. These roles may be full-time or part-time. The training program itself requires full-time participation for the first three weeks, after which trainees will begin working the scheduled hours of their assigned role.

What to Expect in the Program:
Week 1 **:** Orientation, classroom simulation, and online training
Week 2: Hands-on clinical experience with Registered Nurse Unit-Based Educators
Week 3: Hands-on clinical experience with a preceptor and transition to independent practice

+ Must obtain BLS certification before transitioning into the full-time or part-time NA role
After the Program:
You’ll step confidently into a full-time or part-time role as a Nursing Assistant, where you’ll be an integral part of the care team. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you’ll assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, mobility, nutrition, safety rounding, and more. As your skills grow, so will your opportunities within the Lahey network.
