Position Overview
The Accounting Assistant partners with our finance team to execute a broad range of accounts payable and reconciliation tasks, with primary responsibility for Licensed Agent international payables and domestic operational vendors. This role calls for a detail oriented professional who thrives in a fast paced, distributed environment and is committed to accurate, timely financial processing.
**This is a** **6 month** **remote position. California resident required. Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Pay: $25 to $30 DOE** .
Key Responsibilities
International Vendor (Agent) Accounts Payable
+ Manage end to end AP workflow via Raft.ai, from invoice intake through payment.
+ Reconcile weekly and monthly statements using our third party reconciliation platform; investigate and resolve variances.
+ Coordinate with global operations teams to add or adjust expense accruals in the TMS.
+ Prepare wire payment files on a weekly and monthly cadence.
+ Onboard new foreign vendors in both the TMS and Sage ERP.
+ Compile and submit monthly IFLN reports.
Domestic Operational Vendor Accounts Payable
+ Perform weekly and monthly statement reconciliations for U.S. operational vendors.
+ Liaise with domestic operations staff and suppliers to obtain missing invoices and correct discrepancies.
Month End Close Support
+ Review open shipment level accruals against posted invoices and vendor statements; collaborate with operations to validate or clear items.
+ Remove erroneous accruals to ensure an accurate financial close.
Required Qualifications
+ Minimum 1 year of accounting or AP experience, or equivalent education.
+ Proficiency with automated accounting systems; Sage experience preferred.
+ Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, INDEX?MATCH, IF statements, pivot tables).
+ Strong written and verbal communication; active listener who seeks to understand stakeholder perspectives.
+ Demonstrated accuracy, thoroughness, and ability to meet productivity targets while managing multiple priorities.
+ Solution oriented mindset with sound judgment and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a **fully remote position** requiring prolonged periods of computer use. Occasional movement within the workspace may be necessary. Frequent electronic communication (email, chat, video, phone) is integral to the role.

**Pay Details:** $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
