The Department of Clinical Counseling and Mental Health in the School of Health Professions at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Instructor for their online Master of Science in Counseling programs (i.e., Addiction Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling). The open position is for an adjunct position in an online format. The primary role of the appointment is for educating within the Master of Science in Counseling programs in one or more of the following areas: addiction counseling, clinical mental health counseling, and/or clinical rehabilitation counseling. Pay Grade Maximum:
Salary commensurate with related education, experience and/or skills.
Major/Essential Functions:
+ Teach courses within the online Master of Science in Counseling programs (i.e., Addiction Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling) as assigned by the program director(s) in synchronous and asynchronous formats.
+ Facilitate meaningful discussions, promote critical thinking, and provide constructive feedback to students to foster their professional growth.
+ Collaborate with program faculty and staff to continuously enhance the quality and effectiveness of the program curriculum and educational experiences.
+ Demonstrate excellent communication abilities, effectively conveying information and ideas both verbally and in writing.
+ Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
+ Apply advanced practice knowledge and skills in one or more of the following areas: professional counseling orientation and ethical practice, social and cultural diversity, human growth and development, career development, counseling and helping relationships, group counseling and group work, assessment and testing, research and program evaluation, clinical supervision, addiction counseling, clinical mental health counseling, and/or clinical rehabilitation counseling.

Preferred Qualifications:
+ 3 years’ clinical experience as a licensed and/or credentialed counselor.
+ Current counseling licensure.
+ Prior teaching experience at the graduate level, preferably in clinical counseling.
+ Online teaching experience.
