    The University at Albany is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to serve as the Assistant Director of Admissions - Online and Adult Students. This role will act as the primary point of contact for prospective online and adult undergraduate students and provide support to prospective graduate students seeking online programs. The Assistant Director will be instrumental in guiding students through the admission process, fostering relationships that enhance enrollment, and contributing to the overall success of the university's online program offerings.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Prospective Student Engagement & Admissions Support

    + Serve as the primary contact for prospective online and adult undergraduate students, guiding them through the admissions process.

    + Provide initial support and information for prospective graduate students in collaboration with the graduate admissions team.

    + Utilize CRM tools to track interactions and personalize communication with prospective students.

    + Application Processing and Policy Compliance

    + Oversee and manage the online application process, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

    + Evaluate admission materials and recommend decisions based on established guidelines.

    + Assist in developing and implementing admissions policies and procedures to ensure compliance with university and state regulations.

    + Outreach, Recruitment, and Program Promotion

    + Collaborate on recruitment strategy development for online, degree-seeking, and non-degree seeking adult populations to engage prospective students.

    + Participate in virtual recruitment events, webinars, and information sessions to promote online programs.

    + Collaborate with PACE and online faculty, academic advisors, and marketing teams to enhance program visibility.

    + Data Analysis, Reporting and Supervision

    + Monitor enrollment trends, analyze data, and prepare reports to inform recruitment strategies.

    + Stay updated on best practices in online admissions and higher education trends to enhance recruitment efforts.

    Functional and Supervisory Relationships:

    The person will be supervised by the Director of Admissions Recruitment. The role will supervise at least one student employee and may supervise other student support or recruitment staff to be determined by program growth and bandwidth constraints.

    Job Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.

    + Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or a related field, with a focus on online education preferred.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.

    + Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid or remote environment.

    + Experience with CRM systems and online educational platforms.

    + Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community

    + Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their role

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master's degree from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.

    + Previous experience with Slate.

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

    Eligibility for Consideration:

    + You must be employed at the University at Albany campus.

    + You must be in a State-funded UUP professional position (MC employees are not eligible).

    + You must have a permanent, term, or probationary appointment. Only temporary employees employed by UAlbany for three or more consecutive years can be considered eligible.

    Professional Rank and Salary Grade: Assistant Director of Admissions, SL-4, $63,000-$70,000
