    Astronics-PECO, located in picturesque Clackamas, Oregon near the foothills of Mt. Hood, designs, certifies, manufactures, and sells a wide range of products to commercial, government, and military markets throughout the world. Our highly engineered interior and structural aerospace products are supplied to the largest aircraft manufacturers and are installed in aircraft around the globe, and our military products are used in critical national defense applications. The Max-Viz enhanced visions systems (EVS) are designed and certified for use as an improvement to safety by a vast array of airplanes, helicopters, and unmanned-aerial-vehicles in the commercial, government, and military marketplace. PECO-Controls are well established temperature control devices designed for applications where high quality is a must, such as the hospitality industry, commercial cooking, and other critical applications.

     

    We are looking for a **Quality Assurance Supervisor** to support our Quality team. In this role you will work within the Quality leadership team to ensure all quality standards are being met. You will be supervising the activity, performance, and training of the Quality inspectors and CMM programmers. You will work with cross functional teams to improve and promote quality processes, products, and services across the production floor.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Lead and supervise quality inspectors and CMM programmers, coordinate activities of employees engaged in inspecting and testing of components, subassemblies, and final assemblies as they proceed through stages of production/assembly processes.

    + Responsible for managing quality inspector training and maintaining training records.

    + Determine production schedules and work assignments based on customer needs. Ensure quality product is delivered on-time to meet our customers schedules.

    + Work with other managers and supervisors to coordinate activities and priorities between departments.

    + Support quality engineering in developing standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.

    + Evaluate precision and accuracy of inspection and testing equipment. Responsible for new equipment evaluation, with quality engineering support, and request for expenditure submittal.

    + Oversee First Article Inspection AS9102 process and is responsible for training and scheduling resources.

    + Support disposition of discrepant material, including MRB meetings and disposition of product, in a timely manner.

    + Maintain NADCAP AC7130 Measurement and Test accreditation with support from Quality management and engineering.

    + Assist quality management in developing and maintaining the AS9001 procedures and work instructions.

    + Support Project Management and new product introduction projects.

    + Continuous Improvement - Solicit, suggest, and implement changes in working environment and equipment use to increase safety and efficiency of the company, department, and work cell.

    Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experiences:

    + Bachelor’s degree in related technical field or equivalent experience in the quality assurance processes

    + Strong working knowledge of GD&T, preferred

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office

    + Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Green Belt or Black Belt, preferred

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills

    + Strong leadership and managerial skills

    + Strong problem-solving and proven decision making skills

    + Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and communicate professionally

    + Must have ability to work in a team environment and strong interpersonal skills

    + Takes initiative to identify areas that need improvement and propose and initiate solutions
