    Job Title: Janitor Cleaner

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Janitor Cleaner to provide quality customer service and maintain cleanliness in a hospital setting. This role involves detailed cleaning tasks, ensuring a sanitary and welcoming environment for all patients, staff, and visitors.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide one-on-one attention to detail in cleaning tasks.

    + Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.

    + Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.

    + Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.

    + Dust and polish furniture and fittings.

    + Clean metal fixtures and fittings.

    + Empty and clean trash containers.

    + Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.

    + Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and wipe down glass surfaces.

    + Make up beds and change linens as required.

    + Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.

    + Respond to guest queries and requests.

    + Respond to housekeeping problems such as spills and broken glasses.

    + Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.

    Skills & Qualifications

    + Housekeeping experience is preferred but not necessary.

    + Ability to interface with customers, including doctors, nurses, hospital staff, patients, and family members.

    + Effective communication skills.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The candidate will work in a hospital environment, specifically handling discharge cleaning tasks. Each room takes approximately 40-45 minutes to clean thoroughly. The candidate may come into contact with doctors, nurses, hospital staff, patients, and visitors. Flexibility in shift schedules is provided, with openings for 2nd shift. The dress code includes blank pants (slacks or work pants), a blue polo shirt with no writing or logos, and all-black comfortable shoes. Scrubs, jeans, and sweatpants are not allowed. Candidates cannot have fake nails, and their nails must be shorter than a quarter-inch from the finger. Tattoos are acceptable as long as they are not offensive.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
